This month it has been so good to focus on rest, restoration and rejuvenation, and was such a blessing! The biggest area for less stress and more rest was when the Lord showed me how I needed to work on time boundaries and guard them, and revealed how I was always reactive to other people’s demands and agendas, and allowed them to be broken. I needed to guard my boundaries in all areas of my life. Spiritual, mental, emotional and physical, environmental etc. Re-evaluation on them has started and it has influenced even my home environment as we’ve made some huge decisions to no longer work at home (we have an office on a farm down the road which we’ve not used this year). The next thing that really impacted me was related to time again, and the conviction to sleep enough, and make this one of my next month’s challenges. Lastly, but not least, the Holy Spirit spoke to me about Jesus as the Prince and Lord of Peace, through “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬
I realised that I needed to surrender to him as the reigning Prince of Peace in my heart, through every circumstance and in all ways. Peace is the marker for me for identifying stress.
Also praising the Lord for being mindful of the moments when I can simply stop and be at peace. So thankful to the Lord for this past month. There has been so much restoration going on in our house too… it’s like the spiritual restoration has just spilled over into my circumstances- Hallelujah!!!
