As we learn to integrate our faith and health, study these 3 scriptures as they relate to your goals.

1. Understand that you can plan the effort but you can’t control the outcome (James 4:15)

This scripture reminds us that we are to plan our goals with humility and knowing that God is ultimately in control. He is in control of our plans and our future.

2. Our goals should be God-centered, not us-centered (Matthew 6:33)

We are to seek God first, not our own personal needs wants and desires. As the scripture tells us, when we seek God, he will take care of our needs.

3. Our goals must be bathed in prayer (James 1:5)

When we seek God in prayer, then we are better able to make plans that we believe are in line with the His Word.

With these 3 principles in mind, let’s look at how you can make strategic and biblical goals using the S.M.A.R.T principle of goal setting.
